Reporting to the Business Center Manager, the job holder will support the company’s professionals thanks to his advanced skills in document creation and will act as a specialist for all issues related to the Microsoft Office suite, Acrobat and other desktop apps. The main tasks:

  • Write, format and revise legal and complex documents in Word through handwritten text, converted PDF documents, Davies templates and transcription of digitized dictations.
  • Create Excel spreadsheets, tables and charts.
  • Design PowerPoint presentations and organizational charts.
  • Perform work in applications specific to the legal field.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the requested revisions by checking formatting, spelling, and grammar.
  • Promoting and adhering to the Davies visual identity, knowing how to apply it to documents.
  • Answer calls and provide first-line technical support to users in applications related to document creation, particularly the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Develop and share best practices with company members to help them work effectively with the Microsoft Office suite as well as other internal applications.
  • Coordinate and complete requested work by prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and developments in document creation.
  • Participate in special projects and perform all related tasks based on business needs.

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • University or professional degree in office technology or equivalent and at least five years experience in a position as a document specialist, preferably in a service company or law firm; an equivalent profile combining a diploma, education and experience will be considered.
  • Mastery of advanced functions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Acrobat Pro; MOS certification, an advantage.
  • Ability to manipulate graphics and images.
  • Focus on providing exceptional customer service and excellent skills in building and maintaining good interpersonal relationships in a professional environment.
  • Great attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including active listening, writing and transcription.
  • Ability to manage priorities and estimate time required to meet deadlines.
