Launching November 12th in Canada and the Netherlands and November 19th in Australia and New Zealand

The Walt Disney Company's Direct-to-Consumer and International Business (TWDC) has confirmed Disney+ launch dates and subscription prices in Canada, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. In addition, global agreements have been signed with most major platforms to offer the dedicated application on partner mobile and connected devices.

With Disney+, young and old can experience content from TWDC's popular entertainment brands – including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, war of stars And National Geographic – in a completely new way. The service will be available immediately on most major mobile and connected devices through distribution agreements with Apple, Google, Microsoft, Roku and Sony.

Disney+'s global rollout begins November 12, and the service is expected to be available in most major territories within two years. In addition to the US launch, Disney+ will be available in Canada and the Netherlands starting November 12th, priced at $8.99 CAD/€6.99 per month (or $89.99 CAD/€69.99 per year). A week later, the service will launch in Australia and New Zealand for AUD8.99/NZD9.99 per month (or AUD89.99/NZD99.99 per year).

From launch, users will be able to subscribe to Disney+ directly or use the dedicated application to watch streaming content on the following partner devices and platforms (depending on country):

  • Apple (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV and the Apple TV application, which offers consumers the ability to subscribe to Disney+);
  • Google (Android phones, Android TV devices, Google Chromecast and built-in Chromecast devices);
  • Microsoft (Xbox One);
  • Sony / Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation®4 and all Sony TVs with Android);
  • Roku (Roku streaming players and Roku TVs).

As announced in early August, on November 12th the American public will benefit from an exceptional new offer with a combined subscription to Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu for just $12.99 per month, giving them access to Disney+ content, thousands of live content, providing sports events, original sports series and award-winning documentaries (on ESPN+), as well as original content and Hulu's streaming video-on-demand catalog.
