The Rangers took an early 2-0 lead thanks to Nick Bonino and Chris Kreider, but the Bruins scored two goals in a 24-second span in the first period thanks to Charlie Coyle (his first of two goals in the game) and Morgan Geekie have a tie.

Kreider allowed his team to return to the locker room with a 3-2 lead, but Boston tied it again when David Pastrnak scored the game-winning goal on the power play 26 seconds into the second period.

After this goal, however, the tide quickly turned in the local heroes’ favor. Peter Laviolette’s men scored three unanswered goals, thanks in particular to a slap shot from defender K’Andre Miller at the end of the second.

Artemi Panarin, Tyler Pitlick and Jimmy Vesey were the other players from the New York team who got the red light.

The Rangers host the Buffalo Sabers on Monday. As for the Bruins, they will look to return to victory against the Blue Jackets in Columbus on the same day.
