The Canadian | Juraj Slafkovsky back in the front row

Juraj Slafkovsky is obviously on the rise.

The young forward will start Monday night’s game against Seattle at the Bell Center in the Canadiens’ front row, along with Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki.

“It doesn’t scare me to have him on the ice with Nick and Cole and see him against other good teams because he gets the job done,” coach Martin St-Louis said on the subject. They have also played some games together in the past.

“Juraj needs to be consistent and efficient in his touches with the puck and that brings repetition on the ice… It’s an opportunity for him, he’s been there before. “We’re happy with his progress, he deserves everything what is happening to him at the moment. »

For his part, the young Slovakian player wants to take advantage of his chance in this game.

“I just want to try to take advantage of this opportunity,” explained the young striker. I will try to combine my playing style with theirs. »

Also note that Sean Monahan, who started Saturday night’s game on the front row, will start this game on the second, along with Jake Evans and Josh Anderson.

The Canadian could expect a small reinforcement in defense soon, as David Savard took part in training at the Bell Center on Monday morning. However, he will not play on Monday evening.

Samuel Montembeault will be in net against the Kraken.
