TELUS is expanding the Health for Good program to help women in need of mental health services

The program expansion aims to address the growing number of mental health issues women face and remove barriers to care through free counseling services offered through My TELUS Health Care

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 07, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — To address the growing mental health crisis 60 percent of women in Canada, TELUS today announced the expansion of its Health for Good™ program free access to consulting servicesMy TELUS healthcare Women in need of mental health support across Canada. My TELUS Health Care provides convenient, direct access to counseling services provided by caring licensed mental health professionals residing in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec.

Through a partnership with three women’s charities (Dress for Success Vancouver, Mamas for Mamas and YWCA Metro Vancouver), TELUS will offer more than 1,000 free counseling sessions per year to women residing in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.

Through the easy-to-use My TELUS Health Care app, the expanded program covers the costs of improving access to mental health services and wellness support for marginalized women, eliminating the bias and costs often associated with accessing preventive paramedical healthcare. Private one-to-one sessions are offered virtually via a smartphone app, which is available free of charge at Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
