Card payments will therefore become the norm, “out of a desire to improve efficiency and plant operations”. At the points of sale in the amphitheater, payment is only possible by debit or credit card.

This transition to a new payment system was announced on Tuesday.

“The Videotron Center will become a purely digital transaction environment and only card payments will be possible in the amphitheater. Therefore, from this date, cash will no longer be accepted as a method of payment,” said a press release.

“This modernization towards card payments and the expansion of almost double the number of checkouts will help reduce queues. Visitors will therefore benefit from a smoother and more efficient service during their visit to the Videotron Center, with an estimated 80% reduction in transaction times. Without forgetting that this change helps maintain the highest levels of hygiene,” we add.

This development is part of the commitment to follow international trends in entertainment facilities.

“With this project, the Videotron Center joins the ranks of major arenas in Canada and elsewhere in the world and promises an even more enjoyable experience. The organization believes these changes will improve the overall experience at Videotron Center and better meet customer needs.”

As far as parking is concerned, which is managed by ExpoCité, we will continue to operate as before, meaning visitors will have the choice to pay either in cash or by card.
