The Major Key Awards Gala is back for its third edition, celebrating the best video games of the year.
Twitch partner Maxime Chiasson, aka VIICTIIMhosts once again the Major Key Awards, an event that highlights the entire year in the fields of video games, media, and entertainment stream French Canadian.
The event features some silly categories like ‘Most Hyped Game of 2023’ and ‘Flop of the Year’, in addition to local web builders with categories like ‘Retro Streamer of the Year’ or ‘The New French-Canadian Twitch Partner of “. the year”. Oh and, Weighs at startup presents the category of the event of the year!
“Obviously I’m very inspired by what Geoff Keighley is doing with The Game Awards (I’ve been since the very first Video Game Awards on Spike TV),” explains Chiasson. “But I have a more community-centric approach as I’m essentially a content creator on Twitch,” he adds. “It struck me that nobody in the French-Canadian community had really looked at such a concept, so I jumped at the opportunity 3 years ago.”
