The top Canadian Junior Hockey League (CHL) candidates ahead of the upcoming National Hockey League (NHL) draft will be on display January 25 in Vancouver.
The CHL announced this on Wednesday. That means forward Connor Bedard will have a chance to shine in front of his home crowd as he hails from the city of BC.
The event is hosted by the Vancouver Giants, a club of the Western Junior Hockey League.
“We are excited to have the Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game return to the Vancouver area,” CHL President Dan MacKenzie said in a statement. It’s always a highly anticipated event on our calendar, showcasing tomorrow’s stars while the next batch of NHL draft-eligible players bode well for our league, including homegrown hero and fan Connor Bedard of the Regina pats.”
This is the 27th edition of the Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and the third time it has been played in Vancouver.
