Air Transat announces that it will offer direct flights from Lyon to Montreal next winter, becoming the only airline to offer this route all year round

Travelers from the Lyon Basin can thus discover or rediscover Quebec in winter. These new flights will also allow Canadian travelers to benefit from simplified access to the French Alps. In the winter of 2023-2024, this connection will operate at a rate of three flights a week from Lyon, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Air Transat is already offering up to seven direct flights per week between Lyon and Montreal for the coming summer season.

Cyril Cousin, Director France, Benelux, Switzerland and Germany at Air Transat, stressed : “As the first airline between France and Quebec, it was natural for us to include Lyon and its region in our winter offer. Annualizing our routes is part of our development strategy and our A321LR fleet is the best aircraft to achieve this goal. We are pleased to be able to meet the growing demand between France and Canada, supporting both winter sports enthusiasts and business travelers or the large expatriate community.”

This route will be operated with next-generation Airbus A321LR aircraft, featuring a spacious cabin, state-of-the-art in-seat entertainment systems and the lowest fuel burn and greenhouse gas emissions (CO2 and NOx) in its class.
