Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced on May 31 that “Canada is beginning a new process to welcome qualified recent arrivals with work experience into priority jobs as permanent residents.”
The announcement was made today by Canadian Immigration Minister Sean Fraser. This process is designed to allow Canada to invite potential permanent residents with specific skills, education, or language skills to submit an application for employment.
This program was created to allow employers in Canada to fill vacancies with foreign workers overwhelming speak French, are qualified and have experience in: healthcare ; Careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM); occupations such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors; transport ; agriculture and food.
“Everywhere I went, I heard the message loud and clear from employers across the country suffering from chronic labor shortages. These changes to the Express Entry system will ensure they have the talent they need to grow and thrive,” explained Sean Fraser.

This process, initiated by the Canadian government, is part of the so-called Canadian immigration program Express entrywhich manages Canada’s flagship applications for individuals wishing to immigrate permanently through the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, the Canadian Experience Class and part of the Provincial Nominee Program.
