Thi Be Nguyen heads the Canada-ASEAN Domestic Business Council

The Singapore based Canada-ASEAN Business Council appointed Thi Be Nguyen as Managing Director for Canada. Her mandate will be to open the first Canadian office in Montreal, to lead and oversee the organization’s development in the country, from a very solid foundation and an extensive network of partners from coast to coast. His role will also be to establish political, diplomatic, and business relationships with governments, embassies, high commissions, and corporations in Canada and Southeast Asia.

Thi Be graduated from Concordia University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. She holds a Certificate in Global Diplomacy in the Modern Era from the University of London and a Certificate of Achievement in Sustainable Development Strategy from Stanford University.

She has over 20 years of experience in business, public affairs, diversity and inclusion, community engagement and international relations. For ten years she served as Chief of the Office of President of the outgoing President of the National Bank of Canada, Louis Vachon. She has managed a portfolio of 25 million in Pan-Canadian and international social and business engagements and initiated social impact projects, notably with the United Nations Association in Canada, UNDP Cambodia, CABC, UniAction, Vietnamese Cultural Center, Canadian Red Cross and Vietnamese Red Cross. In 2016, she was named Diversity Personality of the Year 2015 by the Média Mosaïque press agency in the TOP20 of Diversity in Quebec.
