The Gemini Awards: Unstoppable and The Night Laurier Woke Gaudreault are at the top

The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television – Quebec section on Thursday announced their nominations for the trophies that will be presented at next fall’s galas.

Untenablethe daily justice series on TVA, is recognized in the main categories as Best Daily Drama Series, Best Direction for Stéphane Simard and Mariane McGraw, and Best Writing for Nadine Bismuth, Erika Mathieu and Stéphane Hogue.

The show is also worthy of numerous nominations for its actors and actresses, alongside Nour Belkhiria, Anne-Élisabeth Bossé, Sébastien Delorme and Michel Laperrière for leading roles and several others for supporting roles.

The daily newspaper cited a little less than its competitor in the same time frame – with 7 nominations STAT en Radio-Canada also excelled in the main categories of Best Daily Drama Series, Best Production for Danièle Méthot and Best Texts for Marie-Andrée Labbé. Suzanne Clément is also a finalist for Best Lead, as are several of her peers in the Supporting Actors categories.

With The night Laurier Gaudreault woke upawarded in the category “Best Dramatic Series”, Xavier Dolan ends up in the final shortlist for the best direction and the best texts, alongside André Turpin in particular for the best photo direction.

Among the shows are ten nominations Before the crash, Bye 2022, The Runaway And Megantic.
