The Teulada-Moraira Tourism Department, headed by Susanne Katzgrau, has published the results of this year’s tourism summer, showing that the region continues to be a popular destination for national and international visitors.
Tourist Information
In the months of June, July and August 2023, the Tourist Office welcomed a total of 6,087 tourists. These visitors made a total of 3,157 requests and asked for help 3,157 times.
Topics with the highest demand
The most popular searches have been categorized and displayed in the order of their demand. The most searched topics included local information, festive events, information about the Costa Blanca, cultural activities, transport, sports activities, natural landscapes, campsites, hotels and WiFi services.

Hotel operations in Teulada-Moraira recorded solid occupancy rates during the summer season. The data revealed an occupancy rate of 77.21% in June, 87.89% in July and an impressive 93.62% in August.
Origin of tourists in hotels
Visitors came mainly from the Autonomous Community of Valencia and the Autonomous Community of Madrid at national level, while at international level most tourists came from the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
Tourist rental
Tourist rental companies also had a successful summer in Teulada-Moraira, with an occupancy rate of 47% in June, a significant increase to 76.31% in July and a high of 89.50% in August.
Origin of rental tourists
The tourists who opted for the tourist rental came mainly from the Autonomous Community of Valencia and the Autonomous Community of Madrid at national level, as well as from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden and Canada at international level.
Overall, in the summer of 2023, Teulada-Moraira maintained its strong position as a tourist destination with an average occupancy rate of around 80%. One of the most striking developments has been the increasing number of Dutch tourists choosing to rent holiday accommodation. The main autonomous communities such as the Valencian Community and Madrid remain constant sources of tourism, both in the hotel and holiday rental sectors.
Tourism Advisor Susanne Katzgrau stressed the importance of collecting tourist inquiries as an important tool for developing tourism promotion strategies and promoting the goal of making Teulada-Moraira a smart tourist destination.
The Mayor of Teulada-Moraira, Raúl Llobell, thanked everyone involved in the municipality’s tourist success and underlined the local community’s commitment to providing quality services that continue to attract loyal tourists year after year.
