Two pilot projects have been conducted, providing solid and irrefutable evidence of the success of LoRaWAN technologyand its rapid deployment in thousands of Quebec schools, Canada. For every pilot projectMilesight AM107 indoor air quality sensorswere quickly installed in about 30 classrooms, along with Assek’s software, which provides excellent tools for effectively monitoring classroom air quality. During the pilot projects, Semtech provided valuable and useful advice to Milesight to get a better response from the AM107 to the LinkADRReq command on the MAC sublayer, improving the compatibility of the sensors in this project.
Safer and easier maintenance of indoor air quality in public schools thanks to LoRaWAN technology
In these difficult times, LoRaWANis a promising advanced technology. LoRaWAN devicesMeet all needs including data visualization, multi-environment monitoring, battery life, transmission speed and message reliability. Wireless solutions are ideal for modern or historic school buildings. For example 191 school classes Massey–Vanier were equipped with AM107 sensors and 208 IAQ sensors provided Louis Philippe Par School.
