The Laval Rocket ended their 2023-2024 season with a 2-1 loss to the Belleville Senators on Saturday night at Place Bell.
This game meant nothing to the Montreal Canadiens' farm club, as the previous day's loss to the same team had dashed their hopes of making the American Hockey League (AHL) playoffs.

The crowd favorite was the first to score in today's duel. In the final moments of the first period, William Trudeau scored his eighth goal of the season.
The “Sens” equalized in the first five minutes of the final third and took the lead. Tarum Fizer and Wyatt Bongiovanni were the authors of his successes.
In addition, striker Joshua Roy was suspended for this game.
Earlier in the day, the AHL announced that the Quebecer had to miss his turn because he took a shot with his team's backhand the day before.
This was Roy's first game since March 19 as he was injured while wearing CH colors. The Quebecer was recalled from the major club at the beginning of February.
In his first professional season in 2023-2024, the 20-year-old skater played 23 games in the National League. He scored four goals and five assists for nine points. He also collected 32 points in 41 games with the Rocket.
David Reinbacher, Jayden Struble and Mitchell Stephens were also missing from the Rocket squad due to injuries.
