Réjean Tremblay reveals a situation in which the Canadian censored TVA Sports

The experienced journalist Rejean Tremblay was one of the guests on the excellent show this week In the media on the waves of Tele-Québec.

As is his wont, he did not hesitate to present his thoughts uncompromisingly.

Furthermore, in his interview, he even took the liberty of denouncing the fact that the Montreal Canadiens controlled all media outlets that cover their activities, even citing a specific example of this Chantal Machabée has recently intervened in censorship VAT Sports and prevent certain images from being broadcast on television.

“The team that is so rich makes a deal with TVA, it makes a deal with RDS and besides, the second shareholder of the Canadian is the owner of RDS. Do you think they will criticize the co-owner? After that.” 98.5 pays a huge sum to broadcast the games. So that's three out of four to five media outlets that are controlled. There is no real journalism.

I'll give you an example, you'll be interested. The Canadian will play in Philadelphia last Thursday. It hasn't been a year yet. Martin St. Louis, the coach everyone loves, meets the other coach, John Tortorella, who has a bad reputation but is actually just as smart as anyone. Martin played for him for 12-15 years, so the two fall into each other's arms and the two start chatting and having fun before things start.

The TVA Sports cameraman takes the pictures, 30 seconds. It's sweet, it's beautiful. We can make a story out of this. Chantal Machabée comes and says: “No-no-no.” These are private pictures and they won't be broadcast!'

Normally you have the right to be rude and stupid and say: “Chantal, get out!” This is public, we are in a building and we pay fees. This is for TVA and for our listeners.” That would have been journalism.

The pictures were never shown.

This is therefore a specific situation in which the Canadian recently intervened directly to control his image.

We agree that this is a banal and not at all controversial situation, to say the least. On the other hand, if the public relations team felt the need to intervene at that moment, we can only imagine the possible interventions that are regularly made behind the scenes in much more sensitive situations.

In addition, the excerpt in question was published yesterday afternoon Twitter appeared on the show's page but strangely disappeared throughout the day, upsetting the journalist Alexander Pratt from The press Ask questions.

Would the Canadian have asked for the extract to be removed?

Furthermore, at the time of writing this, 36 hours later, the episode in question is still not available to view on the series' website, unlike all other episodes of the seven seasons.

Is that a coincidence?

Regardless, the excerpt in question finally resurfaced on social media last night, this time on the show's Facebook page. Will it also be removed?

Check out the excerpt in question below while it's still available.
