Rafaël Harvey-Pinard and Jesse Ylönen are to remain

Yesterday the Canadian made the decision to send Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, Jesse Ylönen, Cayden Primeau and Corey Schueneman to Laval. The purpose of all this? Power up the Rocket for their playoff race.

Because yes, it is important. It aims to be financially stimulating (Geoff Molson would no doubt be keen to host playoff games at Laval) and youth development.

But of course it won’t be easy to qualify.

After all, the Rocket have three regular-season games left (all at home) and there’s really no guarantee that the club will make the playoffs. As a reminder, the top five clubs in the North division will announce the details.

Tonight the penguins will be in town. We’re talking about a bad club.

But after that? The Marlies (Wednesday) and the Crunch (Friday) are just around the corner. And we’re talking about two clubs that dominate in the American Hockey League.

What the rocket can do is think one day at a time. He can’t worry about Friday’s game: he has to start with winning the game tonight.

And with reinforcements against a bad team, it helps. That doesn’t mean the W will be easy to come by, but let’s just say Jean-François Houle has to be content with it Ultimately have backup. RHP, for example, hasn’t played at Laval since mid-January.

But I, behind my computer, can still wonder what the Rocket has in store for the rest of things. The four traded players will be in uniform tonight, but will they be on Wednesday? And Friday?

For that you need to make connections with CH – let’s not forget that the primary goal of a school club is to serve the NHL club. And the Canadiens have just two more games of the season.

  • Wednesday April 12 in New York against the Islanders
  • Thursday, April 13 in Montreal against the Bruins

The problem? Even though the NHL’s clashes aren’t important and Kent Hughes would rather watch his youngsters push 1,000 times at Laval this week than help the Canadian, injuries are forcing the GM to make decisions.

On Wednesday, the Canadian must have a full lineup. And for that, memories will be necessary.

This morning I was listening to Renaud Lavoie on the radio (BPM Sports with Jean-Charles Lajoie) and he mentioned, as we suspected, that the Canadian would probably have to recall Cayden Primeau and Corey Schueneman for the two duels at the end of the season.

Does that mean Jordan Harris and Jake Allen won’t play again this season? At least that’s what we read between the lines.

With just one healthy goaltender and five fit defenders, the CH has no choice: they can’t show up to an NHL game with too few players when Laval has resources.

Unless you ask the video trainer to dress up? #Joke of the day

The TVA Sports journalist also mentioned that Rafaël Harvey-Pinard and Jesse Ylönen would stay. They should play the three games of the week at Laval, they.

Should there be a wave of injuries by then, we will adjust the shooting accordingly.

It’s important to note that the Canadians currently only have 11 healthy forwards. If a guy like Kirby Dach can’t play this week (and there’s no indication his return is imminent), what will the Flannel do?

The option to recall another defender is on the table to play with the five players in addition to Schueneman and one other man. Otherwise, Rocket could see a less important attacker than RHP or Ylönen go the way of the Canadian.

But the real question that remains unanswered: who will be on the net at Laval games and where the Canadian is?

Tonight Kevin Poulin and Cayden Primeau are attracted and we can believe Primeau will play. That is, because Poulin is doing well, could he be appointed? Is the end of Primeau’s game last Friday night playing out in the manager’s mind?

I’m sure Rocket trainers understand Primeau’s recalls and the extensive journeys that play out in it. Poulin, he was even entitled to a big break on Friday night in Syracuse to be in shape on Saturday.

The Rocket dressed Jakub Dobes in Laval on Friday night so Poulin could get to Syracuse early and get a good night’s sleep without having to travel overnight.

All this to say that the subject was also raised by Renaud Lavoie and JiC this morning, because even if there are circumstances, Poulin is doing better these days. And in a race for the playoffs, sometimes you have to make big decisions.

If Primeau is indeed called up for Wednesday’s game, it’s obviously Poulin, who will be playing at Laval in two days’ time. Dobes would be his assistant and he wasn’t supposed to play…unless there was a disaster.

If I were the Canadian I would play Samuel Montembeault twice in two nights this week to give Primeau as much rest as possible. Anyway, Montembeault will have months off after that.

And in Laval? I’ll go with Primeau tonight, Poulin on Wednesday… and we’ll see for Friday’s game.

Much

– A hope to look at.

– Beautiful story of perseverance.

– All the same.

– Have.

– Where will he go?
