Music and entertainment for Canada Day in Saint-Georges

On July 1st, the city of Saint-Georges celebrated Canada Day in style at the Parc des Sept-Chutes and the Espace Carpe Diem.

There were lots of family activities at the Parc des Sept-Chutes at the start of the day. Fair games, face painting, a circus workshop, crafts and a skill game course were organized to the delight of young and old.

During the dinner, a formal speech was made by Serge Thomassin, President of the Saint-Georges Festival Committee, Samuel Poulin, Provincial MP for Beauce-Sud, and Richard Lehoux, Federal MP for Beauce. The people there could all taste this sweet dessert served by these three men.

In the evening, the focus was on music in the Carp Diem area. The group New Beatles opened the ball with classics from the legendary British quartet. The group seem They then took the stage to get the audience in the mood with some well-known songs from 1970 to today.

At the end of the evening, fireworks were shown in the sky of Saint-Georges from the synthetic football fields of the Polyvalente de Saint-Georges.
