Powered by JOURNIE Rewards and successfully led by Golf Canada, the 2022 edition of the #MyAnGolf campaign features countless golfing stories and personal accomplishments from Canadians from coast to coast
Golf Canada’s #MyAnGolf initiative, powered by JOURNIE Rewards, is back and the 2022 edition is packed with even more achievements, personal milestones and fun for all members who posted their results this year.
Building on the success of the 2021 campaign and the hugely popular Spotify Wrapped, Golf Canada has enhanced the #MyAnGolf experience this year with a snapshot of golf results released throughout the season. In addition to total rounds, best round, total holes played and total distance covered, users now have access to more personalized information under the Achievements section.
“Last year we saw Golf Canada members sharing their #MyAnGolf stats on social media,” said Lisa Ferkul, Chief Marketing Officer, Golf Canada. So this year we really wanted to take it up a notch and give members even more space to list personal achievements that they can be proud of when they post them on social media. »

“We want Golf Canada members to see their achievements as a mark of pride and a measure of participation and improvement by posting results,” said Ms. Ferkul. We also think it will be great to see their friends applaud these achievements when they post their #MyAnGolf roundup on social media. »
With over 270,000 Golf Canada members reporting results in 2022, the national sporting body’s marketing team began analyzing the data that would lead to the release of #MyAnGolf a few months ago. Sully Syed, senior director of digital experience and technology at Golf Canada, said as his team began examining the data behind the published results, they noticed several things.
“Once we started looking at the data for posting points, we really started to learn about Golf Canada’s members,” Syed said. We learned what days of the week they prefer to play, which golf courses they frequent, how far they are willing to travel to play golf, and much more about their golfing habits in 2022.”
The data also revealed some amazing individual member stories, like that of Jeff Forgrave – whose published results show he’s accomplished some things no one else in Canada has accomplished in 2022. Forgrave played golf across the 10 provinces, on 103 different courses in 50 different cities in 2022.
“I’m an over-the-top avid golfer,” Forgrave admits. I’ve played in the ten provinces, but never in the same year. This year was marked by a lot of travel and a lot of golf. »
While Mr. Forgrave is a lifelong golfer, recent members of Golf Canada have had great stories to tell, such as Kathryn McCully of Petitcodiac Valley Golf and Country Club in New Brunswick. As a new member of Golf Canada in 2022, Ms. McCully played 89 rounds of golf over the course of the year.
“I intend to play as much, if not more, in the coming seasons,” said Ms. McCully. My goal is to master the technique of the game and take regular classes in hopes of becoming more consistent, confident, and competitive, she says. Adding your scorecard to the Golf Canada app and watching your handicap improve…hopefully is addictive. »
With over 270,000 Golf Canada members posting nearly 10 million scores in 2022, there’s no shortage of stories to share on #MyAnGolf powered by JOURNIE Rewards. What’s your 2022 golf story?
