Modern Meat focused on aggressive expansion plan for sales of Modern Crumble

Modern Plant Based Foods Inc. announced that its subsidiary Modern Meat has begun executing its aggressive expansion plan focused on Modern Crumble through two of North America’s largest foodservice retailers, Gordon’s Food Service (GFS) and Sysco Corporation (Sysco), concentrated. Modern Meat is focused on expanding sales of Modern Crumble by offering co-packing and white labeling opportunities to new and established companies. Between GFS, which serves over 100,000 customers in Canada alone, and Sysco, which serves over 650,000 customers worldwide, the company will strategically focus on large restaurant chains and established producers seeking additional manufacturing capacity in Canada.

Modern Crumble is a ground beef substitute based primarily on protein from peas, cleric, carrots, onions, mushrooms, and various other ingredients. It’s an impressive proprietary formula with ingredients that the consumer can know and understand. The Modern Crumble also shines with a high-fiber, cholesterol-free, and vitamin-packed nutritional board, including vitamin B12, vitamin B6, niacin, thiamin, and iron, making it a better choice. “Health benefits and variety of protein sources are the top reasons consumers choose to buy plant-based meat.

Yet the two most popular plant-based meat companies, Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods, report that 90% of their customers buy animal products,” the Good Food Institute (GFI) said in a recent report.
