“It’s a question for Kent” – Martin St-Louis

Sean Farrell won’t have time to feel the fear coming over him. The 21-year-old forward, who has just joined his new teammates in the City of Brotherly Love, will face the Flyers tonight.

The decision is all the more surprising given that Farrell, who the Canadians signed over the weekend after his college team retired, has yet to find time to train with his new partners.

“That’s a question for Kent (Hughes),” Martin St-Louis hammered out twice rather than once when asked about the motivations that led him to fit him into practice so quickly.

So it’s safe to assume it wasn’t the coach’s choice. Especially since St-Louis pointed out that he barely had time to address team concepts with the new signing.

In 34 games in his sophomore season with the Harvard University Crimson, the left winger had 53 points, including 20 goals. Statistics that make him one of 10 finalists for the Hobey-Baker Trophy, awarded to the NCAA’s Most Valuable Player.

“It’s a big change for him. A childhood dream. In my own experience, he must not have realized what happened, said St-Louis. As soon as the game starts, the blue lines and the red line are in the same place. It it will be up to him to take his place.”

For his NHL debut, Farrell will replace Chris TIerney in the fourth session along with Michael Pezzetta and Alex Belzile. It is also used in the second wave of the massive attack.

That means Kirby Dach doesn’t suffer from the hints from the severe countercheck that Peyton Krebs beat him in overtime.
