External batteries recalled due to fire hazard

Health Canada issued a recall on February 23rd of Anchor 535 (PowerCore 20K) External Batteries, Model A1366, due to fire hazards.

This recall affects external Anker 535 (PowerCore 20k) batteries, model A1366. The recalled product is a portable electronic charger compatible with various electronic devices including laptops, iPhones and iPads. This product was sold in Canada exclusively through Amazon.ca. All serial numbers are being recalled, the standard Amazon identification number is B0BBZ6718B. The product is black in color.

OUTPUT

A small number of Anker 535 (20k PowerCore) Model A1366 external batteries can overheat and pose a fire hazard.

As of February 13, 2023, the company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

WHAT TO DO

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Anker 535 Power Bank and contact Anker Customer Service for a refund and disposal instructions.
