CH: Anthony Richard is back! – Sports tax

Anthony Richard is back with the Montreal Canadiens. The Quebec forward was recalled from the Laval Rocket on Thursday because of a lower-body injury sustained by Christian Dvorak, who is unable to play against New York Rangers in the evening.

It will be recalled that Richard had picked up two points, including one goal, in seven games in his first game with the Habs earlier this season in December.

Canada’s defender Kaiden Guhle is about to return to action after wearing a regular jersey in the morning’s practice session.

However, CH also announced that Jordan Harris has suffered a lower body injury and will not be able to play against Rangers. His condition is assessed daily.

Justin Barron, another rookie defenseman, was in practice but wearing a non-contact jersey. For his part, veteran Chris Wideman was conspicuous by his absence, but he will still be there against Rangers.

On the bench, Arber Xhekaj, whose season has ended, kept his teammates company with a shoulder brace.

Forward Jake Evans ran alone. He remains sidelined due to a knee injury sustained on January 14.
