Alfred Pellan Rep. Angelo Iacono announces the launch of the federal program New Horizons for Seniors 2023 (NHSP), an initiative aimed at breaking isolation among seniors.
This program is part of the Government’s ongoing commitment to our seniors and represents an important step in their quest to promote their moral and physical health.
The New Horizons program has been carefully crafted to meet the growing needs of organizations by offering the opportunity to receive up to $25,000 in grants.
The Federal Government is thus once again demonstrating its commitment to promoting cross-generational voluntary work. Key features of the program include:
1. Promote healthy aging
2. Prevent elder abuse
3. Celebrate diversity and promote inclusion
4. Support financial security
“Over the years I have learned that there is no such thing as a big or small project. There is THE PROJECT. Whether it’s buying you a TV, providing you with board games and tablecloths, or getting you a heater; all ideas are good! So seize the opportunity and raise funds for our seniors! Please apply! NOW ! », emphasizes Angelo Iacono
Organizations can now apply for funds to provide adequate equipment and other basic needs. The government is asking all eligible organizations to submit their applications before 15:00 on September 14.
The New Horizons program is a testament to the federal government’s commitment to supporting our seniors.
