The accident between a car and a van happened around 3:45 a.m. Friday morning east of Drummond Street in this southwest Ottawa city, police said in a series of tweets.
The collision forced the closure of one of the main access roads perthand a primary alternate route to Highway 401, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The truck driver was not injured.
Approximately 7 miles of Highway 7 is between Lanark Road, also known as County Road 511, and Drummond Concession 7.
