Air Canada and Disney unveil new safety video on board

Air Canada today released a preview trailer for its new Limited Safety Measures video, produced in partnership with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Canada.

The full video will be shown aboard approximately 90% of the Air Canada fleet from July through September, giving customers a taste of the “Magic of Disney” during their summer itinerary.

The new inflight safety video is the first global event of its kind for Air Canada and Disney Parks and Resorts and combines classic safety demonstrations with nods to the most magical place on earth.

Inseparable from the airline’s continued focus on family travel experiences, this collaboration opens the door to unique and inspiring ways to translate inflight safety policies into compelling and associative narratives.

“Family is one of the main reasons many of us travel,” said Andy Shibata, Vice President – Brands, Air Canada. Over the past few years, we’ve worked to improve the family travel experience with Air Canada, from family-friendly policies and family check-in desks to family-sharing privileges through the Aeroplan program. As we thought about how we could increase the nurturing and comfort that the family travel experience brings, we came up with the idea of adding a little magic to everyone’s travels with the help of Disney. »

Directed by Canadian director Melanie Chung, the video showcases the iconic attractions and experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. It is inspired by recent collaborations between Air Canada and The Walt Disney Company (Canada) Ltd. including the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary celebrations, a Disney-themed children’s room in a Maple Leaf Lounge, and the Red Alert livery by Disney and Pixar Special.

“The history of working with Air Canada is a testament to the level of creativity and shared caring we have for families, which I think is underscored by the fact that this video is a world first for Disney Parks and Resorts,” added Marlie Morrison, Walt, added Disney’s general manager of marketing and sales, Canada and Asia Pacific.

“Florida and the Walt Disney World Resort are important destinations for family travel. Canada has long been one of Walt Disney World Resort’s largest international markets and as the country’s largest airline, Air Canada has brought our magic to so many of our customers. »
