The aim is to have a ministry to deal with the province’s housing crisis, while currently Minister for Housing Murray Rankin also heads the ministry for Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation.

says Murray Rankin. I find it remarkable that the new Prime Minister, like all of us, has recognized the existence of a housing crisis by making it a priority and creating a new stand alone ministry.
Who will become Housing Minister will be named when Prime Minister Eby announces the composition of his cabinet on 7 December 2022.
On Monday, the province announced two bills. The first wants to build more apartments together with the municipalities, the second wants to change the condominium law, which, for example, prevents people with children from renting real estate.
