In the United States, American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines suspended flights, while the US State Department issued travel warnings for the region, citing the risk of terrorism and unrest.

American Airlines, for its part, suspended its service to Tel Aviv until Friday. The airline said it has issued a travel advisory offering additional flexibility to customers whose travel plans are affected.

“We continue to monitor the situation with safety and security in mind and will adjust our operations as necessary,” American Airlines said.

United said it allowed two scheduled flights from Tel Aviv on Saturday evening and early Sunday and accommodated its customers, crews and employees who were at the airport. The airline said its flights to Tel Aviv would remain suspended until conditions improved.

Delta said its flights to Tel Aviv were canceled this week. The airline emphasized that it is monitoring the situation and adjusting its flight schedules accordingly. The company recommends customers whose flights have been canceled or who wish to change their ticket to Tel Aviv to visit the Delta app or website or call Delta Reservations to make adjustments.
