The Arizona Coyotes are still looking for a new home but brought some stability to their offices by offering general manager Bill Armstrong a contract extension on Wednesday.
The term of this new agreement has not been specified. However, it is a matter of “a multi-year extension”. The 53-year-old has been with Arizona since the 2020-21 season after a lengthy scouting career with the St. Louis Blues between 2004 and 2020.

Armstrong was given the daunting task of putting the dealership back on track after years of misery. The former defenseman has turned to the draft, where he has notably picked young players Dylan Guenther, Conor Geekie and Logan Cooley in recent years.
His summer was quite busy as he signed free agents Matt Dumba, Jason Zucker and Alex Kerfoot. Forwards Matias Maccelli and Lawson Crouse and Quebec head coach André Tourigny have also signed new deals with the team.
The Coyotes will once again play at the Mullett Arena, a small 5,000-seat amphitheater this year. Plans for an arena in Tempe fell through in the summer after the population rejected them in a referendum.
