CIBC will create more than 200 full-time positions at its call centers across the province over the next three years. Most of these new employees will be working from home.
CIBC provides a range of financial products and services to 13 million clients – including individuals, corporations, institutions and public sector clients – in Canada, the United States and worldwide.
“As one of Canada’s leading financial institutions, we are pleased to increase our footprint and expand our team in New Brunswick,” said Arleen King, senior vice president of call centers at CIBC.
“The addition of these positions will create unique career opportunities for our new team members in this region as we expand across the province to support our clients across the country. With today’s technologies, the vast majority of these new roles can be performed from home anywhere in New Brunswick, allowing us to create jobs and hire talented employees not only in cities but also in rural areas. »
To help create these jobs, CIBC is eligible for up to $1.5 million in salary reimbursement over three years from Opportunities NB. It is estimated that this investment will generate a direct contribution of US$67.6 million to the province’s GDP over a three-year period.
