We witnessed a new chapter in the rivalry between the Canadiens and the Bruins on Thursday night.
After the meeting, Mike Matheson made it clear that he didn’t really appreciate the players in the Boston formation.

“I don’t think Rem Pitlick wanted to beat Patrice Bergeron. At the same time, these are things that happen during a game and we have to respond to that as a team. We’re talking about a rivalry, we don’t like each other very much. I think we saw that tonight.”
For his part, Martin St-Louis was very satisfied with his team’s performance.
“We played really well. It’s one of our best games of the year. It was nice to see from the bank. I’m happy to see how organized the group is. The guys work and are not only there physically, they are also there mentally. This is how we will grow as a team. That’s what we’re trying to build up, and that’s very encouraging. We have a warrior attitude even though we know we won’t make it to the show.
