WATCH: Rocket goalie Kaskisuo is tackled by a Senators player

The Laval Rocket's 3-2 win was marred by an awkward gesture from Belleville Senators forward Brennan Saulnier.

In the third period, Saulnier attacked Rocket goalkeeper Kasimir Kaskisuo after the referee called it offside. After the referee's whistle, the former hit the latter with a stick.

Saulnier then went around the net before pushing the Laval goalkeeper. The latter collapsed and the Rocket players rushed to Saulnier to defend their teammate.

During the sequence, the Belleville club striker received a five-minute penalty for interference.

However, this incident did not distract Kaskisuo, who made 45 saves to give his team a very important victory. The game started badly for the Rocket as the local favorite took a 2-0 lead at 7:02 of the second period.

Despite this, Jean-François Houle's men never gave up and scored three goals without reply. Jared Davidson sparked the revolt by cutting the deficit in half, while Xavier Simoneau scored the equalizer with 57 seconds left in the second period. Emil Heineman completed the job by scoring the winning goal.

With this win, Laval has only lost once in its last nine games. Arber Xhekaj's teammates will be back in action on Wednesday against the Utica Comets.
