THE Vietnam in Canada impressed by the development of the home country
Overseas Vietnamese (Vietnam) in Canada expressed their impression of the homeland’s achievements over the past 48 years since the liberation of the South and national reunification on April 30, 1975.

Speaking to the Vietnam News Agency, Canada-Vietnam Association board member Dinh Kim Nguyêt said that despite her distance from Vietnam, she has always followed the country’s development closely.
She recognized that the country had developed greatly over the past 48 years, as evidenced by civilized rural areas and modern urban areas. The most important thing is that the Vietnamese live in peace and independence, she said.

She spoke highly of the party and state policies granted to Vietnamese people abroad, including visa exemption, residence card, reinstatement of Vietnamese nationality and traditional culture education for Vietnamese people abroad. Thanks to these policies, Vietnamese abroad now have additional conditions to visit their home countries more frequently, she added.
Julie Nguyên, director of the Canada-Vietnam Business Council and member of the Canada-Vietnam Friendship Association, pointed out that over the past 48 years, the country has made achievements that have exceeded all expectations in all areas such as economy, society, health and education would have and education, science and technology, military diplomacy.
