However, according to many social media users, the video does not give the full picture of what must have happened.
In response to the video, one Instagram user wrote: “I’m sure this isn’t Brampton. It is very difficult for a landlord to evict their tenant in Ontario. The tenant can sue the landlord and remain rent-free until the issue is resolved, which can take months to nearly a year and a half. This could be a case where the tenant didn’t follow the landlord’s rules and was about to evict him.
Another user commented: “I really miss the ‘real’ news channels talking about these videos without context… Only for people who have two opposing opinions!”
Some users also joked about the situation in the comments. “I support the owner,” one user wrote. A second user commented: “Indians don’t take warnings seriously. »
Undocumented Indians entering the United States from Canada
The border between the United States of America and Canada is the longest open border in the world, stretching over 9,000 km. Its length is almost three times the length of India’s 3,400 km border with China.
Data verified by The Indian Express showed that the number of undocumented Indians crossing on foot from Canada to the United States has reached a record high. For the month of June alone, this number rises to 5,152. The surge has put Canada’s visa review process in the spotlight – even more so given simultaneous concerns about Canada-bound Indian passengers seeking asylum in transit in the UK.
Since December 2023, the monthly number of Indians entering the United States from Canada exceeds the number of those traveling through the famous Mexico route. You can read the full report here.
