After a rather disturbing performance by the Canadians against the Red Wings, former NHL coach and hockey columnist Michel Bergeron once again unleashed his sass on some of the team’s veterans on JiC on Wednesday.
The CH did not offer their supporters who moved to the Bell Center on Tuesday evening, complained “the tiger”, who was particularly concerned about the young goalkeeper Cayden Primeau, who was sent to the lions’ den while he was supposed to be mostly in goal for the Laval Rocket fighting for the playoffs.
“It could be a bit like a festival of improvisation,” he said of the organization’s strategy in this case.
“That affects the youngster,” he said of the 5-0 defeat to Detroit. It’s a rush, you see your teammates not working for you.
And then “Bergy” overtook two veterans in the mangle.
“(Joel) Edmundson yesterday, I thought he was still playing with (David) Perron in St. Louis, he introduced himself. I got the impression he wanted to pass the puck to him to complete his hat trick. Edmundson, I’ve been making buttons since November.”
After the Manitoba tall defender twisted, it was Brendan Gallagher’s turn.
“He came back rested and full of adrenaline, scored three goals and there… I think he’s brilliant with the clubs,” he said.
In his opinion, it is unacceptable that some veterans seem to give a damn about the club’s current situation. “Bergy” had a very difficult season leading the Nordiques, who had little talent but never let up.
“When I left I cried, my boys fought like dogs,” he said.
“I was ‘coaching’ (players) at the moment like the Canadian but the only difference was they got away with bruises,” he also said.
