At 34, Sergei Bobrovsky finally scored a playoff shutout in his 64th game. The Florida Panthers goalie took several playoff appearances to get there, but excellent goalies before him never made it.

-Kelly Hrudey
Bobrovsky’s no-shutout streak was the second-longest in history. Only one man has played more games without shutting out a team in the playoffs: Kelly Hrudey. The Albertan made long runs with the New York Islanders and Los Angeles Kings but failed to keep the opposition to clean sheets in 85 games. Maybe that’s why he never won the Stanley Cup. Talk to the Montreal Canadiens in 1993.

Millen, who has never let his 5’7″ height deter him, is now trailing Hrudey in the playoffs in 59 games without a shutout. The Torontonian had to do well at the crucial moment as he was eliminated in the playoffs by 27:29. In 1990, he played for the St. Louis Blues, Quebec Nordiques and Chicago Blackhawks in succession before playing 14 postseason games.

-Murray Bannerman
While Bannerman wasn’t the most well-known guard in Blackhawks history, he was an interesting option between the days of Tony Esposito and Ed Belfour in Chicago. With Denis Savard, Steve Larmer and Doug Wilson, the Illinois team had a group that needed to make it to the end. However, she lost three times in the conference finals with Bannerman in goal. In 40 games, he never recorded a shutout.

– Yaroslav Halak
The Slovak’s chances in the playoffs have been rare over the years. Apart from the famous “halak spring” in 2010 when he wore the Canadian’s uniform, the Rangers bouncer didn’t play much in the spring. However, he has not had a shutout in 39 games. This is a peak for active goalies, ahead of another masked man well known to Habs fans: Jake Allen (29 games).
