The Remparts return home with a smile

Thanks to three goals from Kassim Gaudet, the Quebec Remparts won their duel against the Sea Dogs in Saint-Jean 6-1 on Sunday and ended their trip to the Maritimes on a good note.

Gaudet completed his hat-trick with a very nice backhand feint before beating Justin Robinson with a penalty.

Charles Savoie also distinguished himself by scoring a goal against his former team by showing an excellent individual performance on the power play. The latter beat several opposing players, then circled Robinson’s goal and finally secured his own rebound after a shot before hitting the mark. For his part, defender Vsevolod Komarov collected four assists in his team’s victory.

Charles-Olivier Villeneuve and Antoine Michaud also gave the Remparts a red light.

Quebec Remparts goalkeeper Quentin Miller had a great afternoon of work. The Montreal Canadiens hopeful missed just once of the 23 shots he faced.

Noah Reinhart provided the answer for the Sea Dogs.

After a difficult start to the season, Quebec has now picked up two wins in its last three games and is now 6-9-0, good for last place in the Eastern Conference. Éric Veilleux’s players will face the Shawinigan Cataractes next Friday at the Videotron Center.
