A turtle lays her eggs on the edge of King Street
The turtle nesting season in Estrie is always full of emotions. Also this year, local residents have found these reptiles on their property and in unusual locations, such as along King Street West in Sherbrooke. Auditor Guillaume Cabana observed this phenomenon and sent this photo to ICI Estrie.

A life of freedom for Najwa Badawi
Saudi blogger Raif Badawi was released from prison last March after ten years in prison. A few days before this big event, we met Najwa Badawi, his eldest daughter. The 18-year-old knows it’s thanks to her father that she can live in full light.

A cat rescued from the flames
A suspicious fire on Gordon Street in Sherbrooke knocked out around 20 people last October. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire. Even the animals were rescued by firefighters, as shown in this photo.

Bishop’s University’s first music concentration cohort takes the stage
After several semesters of effort and two years overshadowed by the pandemic, Bishop’s University’s first-ever music concentration cohort was finally able to show the culmination of their efforts to the public. The students took the stage as part of the play god magicand invited us backstage.

The future of dr. Melissa Genereux
We spoke to dr. Mélissa Généreux, candidate for Québec solidaire, three weeks after her defeat while riding Saint-François. The latter, who has resumed her role as medical advisor to the Estrie Health Department, has every intention of continuing to take part in the public debate.
