The future Vaudreuil-Soulanges hospital ranks 29th among projects ranked by implementation budget in Canada.

With a budget of US$ 2.6 billion, the future Vaudreuil-Soulanges hospital is also the most important healthcare project in Quebec and the second largest in Canada by ranking. That’s a leap for the hospital of the future, which was ranked 43rd last year.

ReNew Canada has published its annual report, which since 2004 features the top 100 Canadian infrastructure projects under construction in the country. Among these, the Beauharnois power station renovation project ($1,600,000,000) also ranks 43rd.

The new building, which will have an area of ​​132,340 m², will be divided into two pavilions. The second pavilion, 13 stories high, will house most of the critical functions such as emergency, operating room, medical imaging and all nursing units.

The development of the hospital site began in 2022. Currently, 90 employees are working on the site and the teams are carrying out the drilling work and continuing the installation of the caissons on the site of the two pavilions of the future hospital.
