“I’ve been waiting for this moment for a while,” Couturier shared before the meeting. I’ve been thinking about this all summer and now here I am. I’m just excited to start warming up, finish my first shift and just play hockey.”

The Devils’ big guns were in great shape. Timo Meier had a goal and an assist, while Jesper Bratt had three assists.

Flyers forward Cam Atkinson was scheduled to play in the game but was replaced by Wade Alisson. It is a lower body injury that would bother the 34-year-old striker.

A fanfare debut for Ekman-Larsson

In addition, Oliver Ekman-Larsson contributed significantly to the Florida Panthers’ 5-0 win against the Nashville Predators with three assists. It was his first game in his new colors as he signed a one-year deal with the Florida club this summer.

The “Cats” won again in the evening in the second duel of the day with 5 to 2 against the “Preds”.

Chychrun gives the Senators the win

Several great Toronto Maple Leafs players faced the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Arena, including Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and Tyler Bertuzzi, but it was the visitors who posted a 4-3 victory.

Senators defenseman Jakob Chychrun gave his team the win by scoring his second goal of the game in overtime. DJ Smith’s squad will also travel to the Bell Center to take on the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday.
