The Toronto Raptors rallied in the fourth quarter to eventually defeat the New York Knicks 123-121 in overtime Monday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.
Canada’s only NBA team scored 29 points in the final quarter before adding 13 points in overtime for the win.

OG Anunoby had two very important three-point shots in overtime. However, it was Fred VanVleet who was the spark plug for the Raptors in this duel. The 28-year-old American had 33 points, five rebounds and eight assists. He was assisted by Scottie Barnes, who had 26 points. Pascal Siakam, meanwhile, had 20 points but missed all of his seven shots from downtown.
In the Knicks camp, Canadian RJ Barnett scored 32 points, including the basket that forced overtime.
It was also the Queen City club’s 20th win in 45 games, but only their sixth win on an opponent’s ground in 19 games. The Raptors return to action Tuesday night when they visit the Bucks in Milwaukee.
The bucks limit Mathurin
Earlier in the day at the Fiserv Forum, the Raptors’ closest opponents muzzled Quebec’s Bennedict Mathurin and defeated the Indiana Pacers 132-119.
The Montreal native was limited to 12 points, eight rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes of play.
He was limited to 12 points or fewer in a game for the tenth time and played his 45th career game.
It was Myles Turner who brought the charges for the Pacers. He scored 30 points. In the Bucks’ camp, Jrue Holiday had 35 points, four rebounds and 11 assists.
