Forward Josh Nadeau, brother of Bradly, the Carolina Hurricanes’ 2023 first-round pick (30th overall), has reportedly accepted an invitation to the Montreal Canadiens’ development camp, which traditionally takes place in July following the draft.
This is reported by Mark Divver, a contributor to the New England Hockey Journal and the National Hockey League website.
The native of Saint-François-de-Madawaska, New Brunswick, had a bright start to his collegiate career with 45 points, including 18 goals, in 37 games for the University of Maine in the Hockey East Division.
After playing rain and shine with the Penticton Vees in the British Columbia League, Josh and Bradly Nadeau teamed up again in Maine; Bradly finished first in team scoring ahead of his big brother with 46 points, including 19 goals, in 37 games.
However, since Bradly recently signed his entry-level contract with the Hurricanes, the two brothers will be separated next season.
Josh Nadeau, 20, was never drafted and is a free agent. He is 5’7″ and weighs just 159 pounds, according to Eliteprospects.
