The Canadiens start a game escape game at the Bell Center

MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens today announced the launch of a unique concept that combines the experience of an immersive escape room with a game night. The Canadians’ Bell Escape tests four fans who not only have to go to their seats before the game starts, but also under the gaze of more than 21,000 spectators.

The Escape Room was designed by Échappe-toi, a renowned Montreal-based designer of similar experiences who has won numerous awards for his acclaimed games around the world, including in Montreal. Competitors can expect a superior level of design and staging in a space packed with numerous special effects, lighting, sound effects, videos and more… not to mention the cameras installed within that broadcast images to fans seated in the arena.

participants off The Canadians’ Bell Escape are presented to the crowd at the Center Bell central bulletin board prior to the start of each game before being locked in the Escape Room. You have 30 minutes to solve various Canadian-themed puzzles. Viewers can follow their progress with a live feed on the scoreboard at the beginning of the first period. After exiting the room or being freed, the four contestants return to their seats in the stands to enjoy the remainder of the matchup – roughly half of the first period of which will be up – with a food combination of the concessions and a t shirt with the inscription “J’AI RÉUSSI!” or “I FAILED”.

“This is one of the most original concepts we have ever presented in terms of unique experiences created for our fans,” said France Margaret Bélanger, President, Sport & Entertainment at Groupe CH. “We salute the brave who are upping that pressure to solve an escape game – with spectators – before heading to their seat. »

“The immersive escape room is the first of its kind in professional sports,” said David Kennedy, vice president, brands and sponsorships, Bell. “We are thrilled to be working with the Canadiens to create an innovative new experience for fans. »

Ticket packages including Escape Experience are offered in very limited quantities. Some will be given out as prizes on team platforms, courtesy of Bell, for all games played on Saturdays and other key dates. For other games – fewer than 30 – packages are offered on a first come, first served basis.

The Canadians’ Bell Escape will be officially unveiled during the October 12 Canadiens home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. For more details, including a full FAQ and the link to purchase the pack, fans are invited to visit the canadians.com/escape.
