The Canadian could host an LPHF game at the Bell Center as early as this season

Last week, the City of Toronto set new standards at the LPHF by welcoming as many as 19,285 spectators, the largest crowd in the history of a professional women’s hockey game, to the Air Canada Centre, home of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs.

But that mark could be surpassed at some point, and perhaps as early as this season, if Montreal Canadiens management allows the local women’s team to play one of its games at the Bell Centre, which has even more space.

Everything indicates that this possibility is indeed real, if we are to believe the sports and entertainment president of the CH group, France Margaret Belangerwho confirmed in an interview with Radio-Canada Sports that there is indeed an openness on their side and that it’s just a matter of getting along.

“If it is possible on the part of the league and the Montreal team, we have deadlines and we would certainly be able to do it. We have the opportunity to do it this year, but we haven’t completed it yet.”

Let’s see what happens next, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see an announcement regarding this in the near future.

More details to follow.
