A Blaxton chain restaurant will open early next year at the Videotron Center in space reserved for a future NHL store.
The agreement was signed about ten days ago and announced on Tuesday morning. This is a project whose investment is more than 2 million USD.
Work is scheduled to begin this year, probably around June. It will all depend on the remparts’ season, says Steve Leroux, co-owner of Blaxton Center Videotron (CV).
“Hoping the Remparts to win to the end. [Les travaux commenceront] once their season is over. Then the Remparts store will have to be dismantled, that’s where the restaurant will be. It will be judged if all goes well after that labor day [débutera] construction of the restaurant,” says Mr. Leroux.
The restaurateur hopes to start operations in January 2024, a strategic period, argues Mr Leroux.
“We’re hoping for January 2024, simply for that reason [Tournoi international de hockey pee-wee]. That would give us a few weeks to break in the team. The pee is still a big event over two weeks and from morning to night. We really want to be open to that,” the restaurateur wishes.
The Blaxton Center Videotron will seat 300 and be open to the public seven days a week, located directly in the amphitheater’s lobby and have a separate entrance. Due to the partnership between the CV and the company Labatt, the menu offer will be the same as in the other branches except for the beer.
“We only work with Labatt and not with other beer suppliers. There will be nuances,” specifies Mr. Leroux.
