Mazda Canada today released pricing and features information for the 2023 MX-30 EV ahead of its February launch.
The electric MX-30 has been on sale in Quebec and British Columbia since fall 2021, but this year it will be rolling out to all Mazda dealerships across the country.
Starting at $42,650, the 2023 MX-30 EV will be $500 more expensive than last year’s entry-level GS and GT trim model, which will now be $47,650.
Although the plug-in version equipped with a rotating range extender is due to be unveiled later this week, Mazda hasn’t announced pricing for 2023.
The MX-30 EV is still powered by a 35.5 kWh battery, which allows a range of approximately 161 kilometers on one charge.
Changes for 2023 are limited to a new paint color called Zircon Sand and a new black leatherette interior, which is now standard.
The GS model will continue to come with features such as heated seats, heated steering wheel, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, LED headlights, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Mazda Connected Services, 8.8-inch info screen and a full list of i-Activsense driver assistance features such as cruise control radar, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beam and collision warning with pedestrian detection.
The GT model features a 12-speaker Bose sound system, 10-way power driver’s seat with memory, adaptive headlights, 360-degree camera, sunroof, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, traffic jam assist, cross-traffic assist and a lane departure warning system.
The MX-30 GT is also available in all available paint colors, most of which are up $50 with the exception of Soul Red Metallic, which is actually down $200 and is now $700.
