Supreme Court approves class action lawsuit filed by members of Kitcisakik

The class action lawsuit was filed in April 2021 by members of the Kitcisakik community who visited this shelter from 1975 to 1991 suffered abuse.

A date has been set for hearing the request for leave. Finally, the defendants, the Government of Canada and the insurer of residence, have consented to permit the class action lawsuit.
