According to a recent Leger poll, the majority of Canadians are concerned about the state of their province’s healthcare system.

The numbers aren’t brilliant, with 86% of respondents sharing their concerns about the system. The data on access to care is no more encouraging. More than half of the population (63%) thinks it is difficult to get services to get treatment.
What explains these low stats compared to the healthcare system? Above all, personnel issues are addressed. 54% of respondents state that working conditions for nurses in their province are poor. 44% believe healthcare workers should be allowed to take disruptive action to achieve better working conditions.
The survey, commissioned by the Canadian Press, was conducted in partnership with the Association for Canadian Studies on January 20-22 among 1,554 Canadians.
