(Munich) Canada star Alphonso Davies, who suffered a ‘contusion of the brain’ after being kicked in the face last weekend, was back in action on Sunday as Bayern Munich beat SC Freiburg 5-0 in the German first division.

Victory at the Allianz Arena saw Bayern (5-1-4) move into second place, leaving Freiburg (5-2-3) in third place.
Davies played the full 90 minutes and was clocked at 36 mph throughout the game.
It’s a comeback for Davies, who missed out on his side’s Champions League win against Czech club Viktoria Pilsen in midweek.
Last Saturday, just before half-time against Borussia Dortmund, Davies needed help getting off the field after a ball duel with Jude Bellingham.
The England midfielder used his body to push the ball away from Davies and kicked the ball up in the air with his right foot.
Davies’ header was the first to touch the ball, but Bellingham’s foot struck his rival rather than the ball. Davies then fell to the ground, clutching his face.
He was being treated and appeared unstable when he was helped off. He did not return to the game.
Dortmund then came down 2-0 with goals in the 74e and 95e minute to 2:2.
