A group of six post-secondary and high school students from different parts of Canada will benefit from the latest in MX and consumer electronics technologies while representing Samsung on their campus
With the back-to-school season in full swing, Samsung Canada has launched a new Ambassador program for post-secondary and high school students who are children of Samsung Canada employees.[1] The Samsung Student Technology Ambassador Program offers students whose parents work for Samsung Canada and who have been selected as Ambassadors through the program, Samsung Connectivity Award packages that explore the Mobile eXperience (MX) ecosystem and consumer electronics products, personalized product training, and the opportunity to show how they use technology to support their learning goals.
As Samsung Ambassadors, these students document all of the ways they use the Samsung technologies on offer as a whole, including Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy Book2 Pro, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy Watch5, Freestyle and M8 Smart Monitor, during a typical school day. Whether they’re taking notes on their laptop during class, connecting their smartphone to their headphones to listen to a presentation over lunch, or having their watch remind them of due dates, students can harness the full power of their connected MX and consumer electronics use products.
When applying, the students were asked how Samsung’s technology would help them achieve their academic goals this year.
Here are some excerpts from this year’s nominations.
- “I’m confident that Samsung’s technology will help me manage my time well, whether it’s with the Galaxy Watch to monitor my fitness and get instant calls and notifications, or with the laptop for email to answer and to organize my work – Areebah Igbal, Engineering Student, University of Waterloo.
- “I think products like the Galaxy Book2 and the Freestyle could help me with my academic learning, whether it’s typing notes faster or giving a presentation in front of the class.” – Hailye Jones, Major in Psychology, University of Alberta.
- “This program represents a unique opportunity for me to use Samsung technology to express my passion for music production.” – Timothy Han, Richmond Hill Secondary School.
The Samsung Technology Student Ambassador Program is part of Samsung’s broader commitment to investing in the education of young people and supporting the development of the next generation of leaders.
